Batch Image Resizer: Batch Resize, Rotate, Convert Image Files
Review by on
In the software world, naming an application can be done in one of two ways. You can choose to name the application after the developing company – like Opera Software did with the Opera web browser. Or you can select a name that presents the application’s functionality.

Software developer JKLNSoft took this route when it came up with Batch Image Resizer, an application that weighs in at less than 1MB (so the download should complete no time at all, even on a less than excellent internet conneciton). As the name so adequately points out, you can use this application for batch image resizing.

But the name does not do the software justice. Besides batch resizing, you can use Batch Image Resizer for other batch image editing tasks. You can also rotate images, rename images, convert images from one format to another, and you can add a stamp on images.

Batch Image Resizer provides support for various file formats – the most popular image formats out there: JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF, GIF, PCX.

Using Batch Image Resizer is a relatively straightforward process. The download and the installation should complete in no time at all, so you shouldn’t have a problem with that. Once installed on your system, you’ll find that the user interface is easy to figure out. It features a Windows Explorer-like pane on the left hand side, meaning you will feel familiar with the UI. It will make using the application an easy process – despite the fact that the UI features no menu bar and is a bit cluttered.

Batch Image Resizer should work without a hitch on all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. It does everything easily and swiftly. The downside is that Batch Image Resizer is not freeware. The software is free to try. Unless you are willing to pay for a license, you will have to contend with the demo version’s limitations – only 6-image files per session.

Batch Image Resizer lets you perform several tasks with ease and speed: batch resize, rotate, rename, convert and stamp image files. Even though it comes with no help files (online or in-program), using the application is such a straightforward process that you won’t need any help.
